Our British friends arrive

Late Sunday evening, Julia Metcalfe arrives from Nicaragua, her bus delayed by a couple of hours. George Gelber, Keith Hill and Steve Pound arrive exhausted, after almost 24 hours of travel from London. American Airlines has managed to lose George’s suitcase, somewhere between Miami, San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa. ‘They’ve sent it to Nigeria,’ quips Steve Pound. Jokes aside, George will have an added challenge for Monday. Pedro Landa, deputy director of Caritas Tegucigalpa tells him not to worry about not being impeccably dressed for our busy Monday itinerary. Everyone retires for a good night’s sleep in preparation.
